Role Overview
In line with a major systems upgrade and operational transformation, Cleanaway is expanding its transport planning capabilities by recruiting Transport Schedulers. This role is fundamental to planning transport activities at least one day ahead to ensure safety, reliability, and efficiency in service delivery. You'll be positioned across flexible locations within NSW and ACT including Erskine Park, Somersby, Newcastle, Wollongong, and Hume.
Responsibilities
- Create and refine transport schedules, routes, and fleet assignments designed to maximize operational efficiency and client satisfaction.
- Collaborate closely with operational leaders and customer service teams to devise practical and compliant schedules adhering to Chain of Responsibility requirements.
- Examine operational datasets and performance metrics to uncover trends and possibilities for continuous enhancement.
- Provide robust support to operations via clear communication, stakeholder engagement, and effective problem-solving methodologies.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate enjoys planning and problem-solving within complex transport or logistics environments such as waste management, FMCG, or supply chains. You should be adept at interpreting data to leverage actionable business insights.
- Proven experience in transport scheduling, route planning, or logistics coordination.
- Thorough understanding of fleet operations, vehicle capabilities, driver planning, and compliance with transport regulations.
- Familiarity with transport management or route optimisation software like AMCS or equivalent platforms.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office suite including Excel, Power BI, and PowerPoint for data analysis and presentations.
- Strong analytical capabilities paired with effective problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills to nurture relationships across teams.
- Highly organised with keen attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
