Test Technician (1 Year Contract)

Job Overview

You will be responsible for executing Reliability and Quality tests on assigned products under supervisory guidance, ensuring all tests comply with specifications and accuracy standards. Maintaining proper documentation aligned with ISO17025 standards and generating detailed test reports are key tasks. You will also be managing the update and archiving of these reports in databases.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform assigned product Reliability and Quality tests accurately according to test protocols.
• Maintain clear and compliant documentation adhering to ISO17025 requirements.
• Produce test reports, update related databases, and ensure organized filing of documents.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness within the reliability laboratory environment.
• Manage tested samples in accordance with sample retention policies.
• Execute any additional testing or evaluations as required by management.
• Conduct monthly Product Audit tests to verify quality consistency.
• Ensure proper storage and management of test fixtures.

Candidate Profile

• Minimum educational qualification: ITE or equivalent in Electrical or Mechanical disciplines.
• At least two years of relevant experience in Quality Assurance or test laboratory settings.
• Familiarity with QA and reliability lab operations is an advantage.
• Experience with cross-sectioning and operation of temperature and humidity chambers is beneficial.

Compensation & Benefits

• Basic monthly salary: SGD 1250++
• Transport allowance: SGD 70
• Attendance bonus: SGD 50
• Housing allowance: SGD 200

Contractual and Work Conditions

• This is a one-year contractual position requiring shift rotations.
• Workweek consists of 5 days.
• Shift schedules vary including 9-hour day shifts (Mon-Fri), 2-shift rotations (morning/night), and 3-shift rotations, as well as 12-hour rotating shift options.
• Maximum allowable work hours: 12 hours per day, 60 hours per week, and no more than 6 consecutive working days.
• Eleven paid public holidays annually including major Singapore holidays.
• Annual leave entitlement: 10 days for service less than 4 years, based on calendar year.
• Shift allowance and overtime payments depend on schedule and company discretion, with overtime typically averaging 60 hours monthly.

Additional Terms and Policies

• Employees must be at least 18 years old.
• Uniforms are provided as necessary.
• Coverage under company insurance plans.
• Salary subject to statutory deductions including CPF contributions.
• No recruitment fees, deposits, bonds, or other personal payments related to employment are required from employees or families.
• Transportation and lodging costs to Singapore are employee’s responsibility, but return costs upon contract completion or early termination (with notice) are employer borne.
• No employer-mandated savings schemes allowed.
