Role Overview

The Territory Sales Representative (TSR) is responsible for achieving and surpassing sales targets within their territory following company and regulatory standards. This role involves understanding customer needs, coordinating resources, and supporting product adoption. The TSR will engage deeply with healthcare professionals (Gastroenterologists, Advanced Practice Practitioners, Primary Care Physicians) to promote Phathom’s novel treatments, reporting to the Regional Sales Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive territory sales performance to meet or exceed objectives.
  • Maintain expert knowledge of products and GI disease states to communicate effectively with healthcare providers and overcome concerns.
  • Analyze market dynamics and access opportunities to enhance product uptake.
  • Collaborate with management and account specialists to develop and execute business plans.
  • Partner with peers and internal functions to share best practices and ensure operational efficiency.
  • Manage administrative duties including CRM and expense reporting.

Candidate Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
  • At least two years of successful medical sales experience or one year in pharmaceutical sales, preferably within the GI specialty.
  • Proven consistent success in sales and experience launching new products.
  • Skilled in leveraging resources such as marketing and market access to drive sales.
  • Strong business insights and analytical abilities.
  • Ability to cultivate professional relationships within healthcare networks.
  • Effective both in-person and virtual communication skills.
  • Comfort with fast-paced, dynamic work environments.
  • Proficiency with technical tools including Microsoft Office Suite, and digital meeting platforms such as Veeva Engage, Teams, and Zoom.
  • Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
  • Willingness and ability for some overnight travel within territory and to national/regional/corporate locations.
