Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated Support Worker to join our Adult Residential Services team at St Laurence, Lota Park in Glanmire, Cork. The role involves working collaboratively within an innovative and dedicated team to deliver person-centered care to children and adults who attend Enable Ireland services.

Contract Details

• Contract types available: Permanent, Temporary, and Relief
• Work hours: Full-time, Part-time, and variable hours
• Salary range: €35,070 to €42,440 per annum (pro rata)
• The salary scale will be reviewed in 2026 following WRC agreements for Section 39 organizations
• Annual leave entitlement: 30 days per annum (pro rata, adjusted if less than 12 months service)

Key Responsibilities

The Support Worker will deliver person-centered services to clients under the guidance of Enable Ireland's standards. Detailed duties are outlined in the official job description provided during application.

Qualifications and Experience Required

• Essential qualifications include a QQI Level 5 Major Award (8 modules) in Healthcare Support, Social Care, Pre Nursing, Disability Care Skills, or Childcare
• Alternatively, candidates with a health-related qualification or those who have completed at least 3 modules with a commitment to complete the full award within 12 months are eligible
• Applicants with an SNA qualification or those who have completed the first year of a relevant health and social care degree (e.g., Social Care, Child Care, Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Speech & Language Therapy) can also apply
• A full clean manual driving license and willingness to operate company vehicles are mandatory
• Candidates must be eligible to work in Ireland
