Role Overview

The Supply Chain Manager is tasked with overseeing all supply chain operations to guarantee the punctual delivery of quality raw materials and finished goods from external suppliers, supporting production schedules and inventory targets. This role involves analyzing inventory data, forecasting needs, managing stock levels, and collaborating with multiple departments to optimize inventory procedures. Key objectives include controlling costs, minimizing waste, and ensuring materials and products are available when needed. This role also includes managing a team composed of Purchasing Agents and a Buyer, reporting directly to the Director of Operations, with opportunities for advancement within three to five years.

Team Environment

As a part of the Supply Chain team, you will coordinate with industry-leading suppliers and logistics providers to maintain prompt and efficient deliveries, optimizing processes, reducing lead times, and fostering strong vendor relationships. The team is known for its strategic contributions to operational excellence and continuous supply chain improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee vendor selection and maintain supplier relationships for all facility materials, negotiating pricing, freight, delivery schedules, and billing terms focused on total product cost control.
• Implement and review inventory strategies in line with business and supply chain goals, leveraging strategic sourcing to improve vendor terms and support value analysis initiatives.
• Monitor raw material and finished goods movement to meet production and customer fulfillment requirements, managing ERP and Warehouse Management Systems for accurate inventory and forecasting through MRP.
• Lead cycle counts and annual inventory audits, promoting continuous enhancements in inventory and supply chain operations in collaboration with operations and warehousing teams.
• Maintain independent demand forecasting models guiding supply chain plans, partake in budgeting, strategic planning, and setting organizational goals.
• Generate routine inventory and vendor performance reports and provide analytical insights for leadership reviews based on sales trends and demand drivers.
• Supervise and mentor staff in purchasing, production scheduling, and inventory control, serving as the expert in demand planning and forecasting for all products.
• Collaborate with sales and operations teams to support current and future demand growth and business expansion.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Supply Chain Management preferred.
• At least five years of experience in a fast-paced manufacturing, fulfillment, or distribution setting.
• Proven leadership skills with experience managing and coaching teams, including goal-setting and performance evaluations.

Preferred Skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with Power BI or similar data warehouse technologies.
• Strong abilities in prioritizing and managing heavy workloads in dynamic environments.
• Solid statistical forecasting and modeling skills.

Compensation and Benefits

Competitive salaries range from $110,000 to $128,000 annually, with actual pay varying based on experience, location, and performance. This position also qualifies for an annual incentive plan aligned with company and business unit performance goals.
