Role Overview

ASMEF seeks a seasoned Supply Chain Manager to lead and enhance the entire supply chain operations. This pivotal leadership role encompasses procurement, purchasing, warehousing, inventory control, logistics, and material planning. The manager will collaborate closely with project teams to ensure the seamless availability and delivery of materials critical to complex engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct all supply chain functions including procurement, purchasing, warehousing, inventory management, logistics, material planning, and supplier relations.
• Develop and execute supply chain strategies aligned with business goals and project demands.
• Guarantee timely procurement and availability of materials and services for multiple EPC, marine, and engineering projects.
• Lead strategic sourcing efforts and negotiate commercial agreements with both local and global suppliers.
• Manage supplier selection, contracts, performance, and foster long-term partnerships.
• Supervise warehouse operations to optimize inventory accuracy, preservation, and controls.
• Coordinate demand forecasting, material replenishment, and supply continuity minimizing disruptions to operations.
• Oversee inbound logistics, transportation, and import/export activities supporting project sites.
• Review and authorize procurement proposals, commercial evaluations, purchase orders, and supplier selections.
• Monitor market trends, pricing, and supplier risks, implementing mitigation approaches as needed.
• Create and track key supply chain performance indicators, dashboards, and reporting tools facilitating informed decision-making.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, procurement governance, and contractual terms.
• Champion ERP system utilization and ongoing process improvements within supply chain workflows.
• Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing supply chain team encouraging accountability, collaboration, and continuous development.

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• At least 10 years progressive experience in supply chain, with minimum 5 years in managerial positions.
• Proven track record managing full supply chain operations in EPC, marine, offshore, shipbuilding, oil & gas, heavy engineering, or industrial manufacturing sectors.
• Expertise spanning procurement, strategic sourcing, warehouse and inventory control, logistics, material planning, and supplier management.
• Experience handling complex multi-project environments and high-value procurement negotiations.
• Proficiency with ERP software and supply chain analytics/reporting tools.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, stakeholder engagement, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
