The opportunity

Blackwoods is hiring an organised, safety-focused Storeperson for its Distribution Centre in Mackay, Queensland. This is a permanent full-time position with Monday to Friday hours, well suited to someone who wants stable ongoing work and brings a positive attitude, strong physical capability, and a willingness to learn. Training will be provided.

The role suits someone comfortable working to productivity targets, maintaining safe work practices, and raising issues clearly with the right people when needed. Full-time working rights are required.

Key responsibilities

• Accurately pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for dispatch within required timeframes
• Work toward productivity targets and key performance indicators
• Keep records, administration, and internal systems accurate and current
• Use RF scanners effectively as part of daily warehouse operations

• Some exposure to warehouse work such as picking, packing, or dispatching
• Clear communication skills, a strong work ethic, and a practical, proactive attitude
• The ability to work independently while contributing positively in a team environment
• A customer-focused mindset and good collaboration skills
