Position Overview
The London Bridge Hospital seeks a committed Staff Nurse to join the General Surgery Inpatients Ward, known for receiving an “Outstanding” rating by the CQC. This full-time role involves a permanent contract with 37.5 hours per week, inclusive of flexible shifts covering long days, nights, and weekends.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver, plan, and evaluate high-quality nursing care for patients undergoing colorectal, hepatobiliary, liver and renal transplant, maxillofacial, breast surgeries, and other general surgery procedures.
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, effective, and patient-focused care throughout the treatment journey.

The hospital campus in South East London includes several facilities such as outpatient and diagnostic centers located in The Shard, Tooley Street's world-class hospital with 160 beds, 22 ICU beds, and 10 operating theatres, plus centers across the City, Canary Wharf, and Kent. Ideal Candidate Profile
- Current NMC registered nurse with a valid UK PIN.
- Experience in surgical or acute care nursing environments.
- Strong clinical skills with a patient-centered care approach.
- Ability to thrive within a fast-paced multidisciplinary team.
- Possession of current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Additional Information
The contract is permanent with competitive salary depending on experience plus a 9% shift allowance. The work schedule is Monday through Sunday with shift flexibility required.
