Role Purpose

The Full-Stack Software Engineer position involves end-to-end software development for our Chamber technology, supporting both new features and legacy products. The role requires working with frontend interfaces, backend services, embedded software, and powering the wellness technology. Key technologies include Go, Python, microservice architectures, and MQTT protocols. You will also participate in product maintenance, quality assurance, and technical customer support, providing comprehensive product ownership in a cross-functional environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement full-stack features for the Chamber software platform.
• Make architectural decisions within our microservices-based infrastructure.
• Support and enhance first-generation Chamber software products.
• Engage in quality assurance to uphold software reliability and performance.
• Offer technical assistance for customer-related issues as needed.
• Work collaboratively with software, hardware, operations, and customer experience teams to develop robust solutions.

Technical Requirements

Mandatory:

• Proficiency in at least one modern high-level language such as JavaScript or Python.
• Experience with at least one lower-level language like Go, C, or C++.
• Comfort with Linux environments and command line tools.
• Solid knowledge of version control systems, particularly Git.
• Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Asana, Linear, Jira).
• Understanding of software development life cycle and testing methodologies.

Preferred:

• Experience with frontend frameworks like Next.js, React, and Typescript.
• Backend development experience using Go.
• Knowledge of microservices architecture and design patterns.
• Experience in container technologies such as Docker.
• Working with Debian-based Linux systems.
• Experience with IoT communication protocols like MQTT.
• Familiarity with continuous integration/deployment pipelines (e.g., Github Actions).
• Shell scripting knowledge (Bash).
• Exposure to IoT, embedded systems, or hardware/software integration.
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools.

Benefits and Terms

• Annual salary range: $115,000 to $150,000.
• Health, dental, and vision insurance coverage at 80%.
• Hybrid work model based in Mars Hill, NC, requiring 40 to 80% onsite presence depending on assignments.
