Role Overview

This full-time, on-site Sign Maker position based in Fakenham involves the creation, production, and installation of diverse safety and informational signs. The role requires working with materials including vinyl, plastic, and metal. Key responsibilities include understanding and interpreting work orders, preparing design artwork, operating specialized sign production machinery, applying graphics accurately, measuring and laying out signs as specified, and ensuring product quality meets company standards. The Sign Maker maintains equipment and tools, conducts safety-conscious handling of materials and adhesives, and collaborates with production and customer service teams to fulfill custom orders, adhere to deadlines, and prepare products for dispatch.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Practical experience in sign making, printing, graphic production, or related trades, including proficiency in design layout and attention to detail.
• Able to read and understand technical drawings or detailed work orders, following instructions precisely.
• Comfortable using hand tools and workshop machinery such as cutters, printers, plotters, laminators, always maintaining safety protocols.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently within deadlines and maintain an orderly workspace.
• Effective communication abilities and capability to work independently or collaboratively within a production team.
• Basic computer literacy with familiarity in design software like CorelDRAW or Adobe Illustrator.
• Beneficial but not essential: prior experience in facilities services, signage, or health and safety industries.
• Motivated to learn and adhere strictly to company procedures while upholding high-quality standards and safety regulations.
