Server Administrator / Service Delivery Lead

Role overview

We are hiring a seasoned Server Administrator and Service Delivery Lead to run enterprise infrastructure operations and guide a technical support team. This position is responsible for keeping essential systems highly available, improving operational performance, maintaining service-level commitments, and serving as the main escalation contact for infrastructure incidents.

The role blends deep hands-on technical knowledge with service delivery leadership, including Windows server administration, virtualization, cloud environments, and broader infrastructure management, along with team leadership and stakeholder coordination.

Key responsibilities

• Direct the daily operation of infrastructure services and service delivery tasks.
• Administer Windows Server environments, virtualization platforms, storage, and backup solutions.
• Maintain strong availability, performance, security, and stability across enterprise infrastructure.
• Handle incident, problem, and change processes in line with ITIL practices.
• Track SLA and KPI performance and introduce continuous service improvement measures.
• Serve as the technical escalation owner for high-priority infrastructure incidents.
• Lead, support, and develop L1 and L2 support engineers.
• Plan and coordinate maintenance windows, upgrades, and infrastructure initiatives.
• Work with internal teams and external vendors to close complex technical issues.
• Prepare operational updates, capacity plans, risk reviews, and service review materials.
• Ensure adherence to security standards, disaster recovery plans, and business continuity requirements.
• Contribute to cloud infrastructure and virtualization technologies where needed.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is required.
• At least 15 years of experience supporting enterprise infrastructure environments.
• Strong practical knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server administration.
• Hands-on exposure to VMware and/or Hyper-V virtualization platforms.
• Experience working with Microsoft Azure or other cloud services.
• Good understanding of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, backup, storage, and disaster recovery.
• Solid grasp of networking fundamentals.
• Background in SLA, KPI, incident, problem, and change management.
• Prior experience leading technical support or infrastructure teams.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management abilities.
• Preferred certifications include ITIL Intermediate or Expert, Microsoft certifications, VMware VCP, and Microsoft Azure Administrator.
