Role Summary
This role focuses on high-quality bug validation, reproduction, triage, and closure support across iOS, Android, and web platforms. The position requires strong QA judgment, the ability to convert unclear user issues into actionable engineering tickets, and the discipline to keep bug backlogs clean and well-managed.
Key Responsibilities
- Study T3 user reports carefully to identify the core defect and verify it through thorough testing.
- Recreate issues across native mobile environments, including iOS and Android, as well as modern web applications.
- Spot duplicate bug submissions and connect them to the correct parent issue to keep the backlog organized.
- Assess both business and technical impact to decide the most suitable priority for each defect.
- Route issues to the right engineering owner and make sure they are assigned to the correct stakeholder.
- Track bug progress, remove blockers where possible, and help move issues through to closure.
- Retest fixes after deployment to confirm that the defect has been properly resolved.
- Review patterns in auto-resolved bugs, identify opportunities to reduce recurring technical debt, and help reduce backlog volume.
Required Experience and Competencies
The ideal candidate brings 3 to 5 years of hands-on Software Quality Assurance experience and has a strong grasp of STLC along with the standard bug lifecycle. Experience in identifying duplicate issues and reproducing bugs in mobile and web products is important.
The role also calls for familiarity with bug states such as Open, In Progress, and Fixed in tools like T3 or Jira. Strong analytical ability is needed to perform root cause analysis and understand why an issue occurred, not just what the user reported. You should also be able to translate ambiguous feedback into clear, technically useful defect reports.
Tools and Working Style
Hands-on experience with JIRA, T3, or similar enterprise bug-tracking tools is expected. Good command over MS Office and Google Workspace tools such as Excel, Docs, Spreadsheets, and Slides is preferred. The role needs someone with solid English communication skills, basic data analysis capability, and the confidence to guide work with limited supervision.
You should be a quick learner, able to work independently, stay motivated with minimal direction, bring startup-style adaptability and drive, and collaborate effectively as part of a team.
