Senior Software Engineer, Full Stack (TypeScript, React, AWS)

This opening is for a Senior Software Engineer focused on full-stack development with TypeScript, React, and AWS. The work centers on building software for healthcare-related integrations and clinical workflows.

Compensation

The pay range for this contract role is $55 to $75 per hour.

Location

This is a hybrid position based in Seattle, Washington, with some onsite days required. Applicants must be located in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Build dependable TypeScript and Node.js services that support EHR integrations and clinical operations.
• Create, deploy, and maintain microservices on AWS using container-based deployment practices.
• Develop React and TypeScript interfaces for both providers and patients, ensuring a smooth experience on desktop and mobile devices.
• Work on integrations with patient education and engagement tools, including messaging, notifications, and activity tracking.
• Take part in code reviews and architecture discussions while balancing engineering quality with the pace of a startup environment.

Requirements

• 3 to 5 years of professional experience building production systems with TypeScript or JavaScript.
• Solid computer science fundamentals, including algorithms, data structures, object-oriented design, concurrency, and distributed systems.
• Hands-on experience developing RESTful or event-driven APIs with Node.js frameworks such as Nest or Express.
• Strong front-end development ability with React and TypeScript, including optimization for both mobile and desktop use cases.
• Ability to troubleshoot issues across distributed services and work effectively in an agile startup setting.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident living in the United States.
• Must be comfortable with a hybrid arrangement that includes onsite days in Seattle, WA.

Preferred Background

• Experience in a healthcare startup or with health-data integration work.
• Exposure to high-throughput messaging platforms.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Experience using Tailwind CSS.
