About the Company
The Open Bioinformatics Journal, an open-access and peer-reviewed publication, focuses on publishing research, reviews, letters, clinical trials, and special issues related to bioinformatics and computational biology. The journal covers topics such as biomedicine, large-scale data acquisition, analysis and curation, computational and statistical methods for modeling biological data, as well as innovative algorithms and database descriptions. It aims to provide high-quality research freely accessible to researchers worldwide.
About the Role
We invite experienced scientists and researchers to serve as Editorial Board Members for The Open Bioinformatics Journal. Members will contribute to the journal's growth, offering scholarly expertise in topic selection, reviewer and author engagement, and editorial oversight.
Responsibilities
- Propose and manage Special Thematic Issues annually on current trending themes.
- Conduct peer review of submitted manuscripts at least three times a year within your specialization.
Qualifications
- PhD-qualified scientist or researcher with expertise in bioinformatics, including computational analysis, genomic data interpretation, algorithm development, and related research.
- Minimum of five years' experience in peer reviewing, editing, and authoring research publications.
- Documented track record of publications in respected peer-reviewed journals indexed by Web of Science Core Collection and/or Scopus.
- Proficient communication skills in English, capable of interacting promptly and effectively with stakeholders.
Required Expertise
- Professional experience in bioinformatics.
- Excellent communication abilities.
Preferred Expertise
- Background in computational analysis, genomic data interpretation, and development of bioinformatics algorithms.
