We collaborate with renowned partners such as Oracle Red Bull Racing. Our mission focuses on enhancing digital productivity securely by verifying every identity, securing application sign-ins, and establishing trust in devices. We are pioneers in enterprise password management and have created a novel cybersecurity category called Unified Access Management tailored to modern workflows involving people and AI agents. Trusted by over 180,000 organizations including Fortune 100 companies, we empower teams to safely adopt SaaS and AI tools.

Role Description

The Senior Product Manager will join the Developer & AI team, leading the strategy and execution of the Machine Identity product area, which addresses critical challenges in security regarding application and infrastructure authentication without reliance on long-duration credentials. This position plays a key role in 1Password's major strategic initiative, Unified Access.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate across engineering, design, and go-to-market leadership to define and prioritize the product roadmap for machine identities.
  • Own objective-setting and key results (OKRs) for Machine Identity and lead quarterly planning processes.
  • Develop and refine detailed product documentation to align cross-functional teams.
  • Regularly prioritize features and initiatives to focus efforts on impactful work.
  • Integrate customer insights into product decisions via direct engagement and structured feedback.
  • Contribute to the overarching vision and strategy of Unified Access and Machine Identity.
  • Engage in high-level discussions with customers and prospects alongside marketing and senior product colleagues.

Candidate Profile

  • 2 to 4 years of product management experience with accountability for end-to-end product areas or features.
  • Proficient in authoring product requirement documents (PRDs), PRFAQs, or equivalents.
  • Strong empathy for customers, including skill in gathering and interpreting user feedback to prioritize requirements.
  • Comfortable working in a rapidly evolving, dynamic startup environment requiring proactive clarity and prioritization.
  • Effective collaboration skills across multiple teams such as engineering, design, and sales.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of developer tools, enterprise SaaS, or cybersecurity products.
  • Experience applying AI-based engineering tools on personal projects.
  • Background in identity management, secrets management, or infrastructure security.

Company Culture and Work Environment

1Password values teamwork, transparent communication, receptiveness to feedback, and living by core principles: simplicity, honesty, and people-first mentality. The work intensity is high and requires individuals who embrace challenges, continuous learning, adaptability to ambiguity, and a results-driven mindset.

Use of AI at 1Password

AI is thoughtfully incorporated across engineering, product, and design functions to improve speed and quality without compromising security. Team members are expected to learn AI best practices and innovatively apply AI tools in their daily roles. Candidates can also responsibly utilize AI tools during recruitment.

Remote Work and Travel

The position is fully remote within Canada or the United States. Despite being remote-first, employees should expect periodic travel for team offsites, meetings, and industry events.

Compensation and Benefits

For Canadian-based employees, annual salaries range from $113,000 to $158,000 CAD, with participation in health, dental, retirement savings plan (RRSP), generous paid time off, equity grants, and incentive programs. 1Password ensures compensation aligns with market value and internal equity, reflecting experience and skills.
