Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior .NET Technical Lead based in Kolkata to work full-time on-site. This position demands leadership in designing, developing, modernizing, and maintaining enterprise-level applications leveraging both legacy Microsoft technologies and modern .NET frameworks. The role also involves mentoring developers and steering the team towards technical excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a development team for enterprise application design, development, and upkeep.
• Offer expert technical guidance, perform architecture assessments, and conduct code reviews.
• Maintain and enhance applications built with ASP.NET Web Forms (VB.NET and C#).
• Support legacy ASMX Web Services integration and upkeep.
• Create RESTful APIs using ASP.NET Core Web API.
• Develop and sustain modern user interface components using Blazor.
• Design, optimize, and troubleshoot Microsoft SQL Server databases, including stored procedures, views, and performance tuning.
• Engage in application modernization and migration initiatives from legacy to contemporary .NET technologies.
• Collaborate with business units, QA teams, and project managers to ensure delivery of quality solutions.
• Address and resolve production issues promptly to maintain system stability.
• Promote coding standards, best practices, and proper documentation throughout the team.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of 8 years experience working with Microsoft technologies.
• Strong proficiency in ASP.NET Web Forms using VB.NET and C#.
• Experience with legacy ASMX Web Services.
• Deep understanding of Microsoft SQL Server including database design, stored procedures, functions, views, query optimization, and performance tuning.
• Hands-on experience with ASP.NET Core Web API and Blazor.
• Solid knowledge of JavaScript; React.js experience is a valuable advantage.
• Good grasp of Object-Oriented Programming concepts, design patterns, and SOLID principles.
• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Skills

• React.js development experience.
• Involvement in transitioning legacy .NET applications to modern frameworks.
• Experience with REST API and JSON-based integration.
• Knowledge of Azure DevOps, continuous integration, and deployment pipelines.
• Experience working within Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Educational Requirements
