Senior Data and Infrastructure Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Create, deploy, and maintain scalable open-source data infrastructures supporting our expanding global operations.
• Advance our data architecture to facilitate enhanced analytics, reporting, and data-driven strategies throughout the company.
• Develop and refine change data capture (CDC), ETL, and ELT pipelines capable of handling batch and near real-time processing.
• Provide well-structured datasets to support analytics and machine learning processes.
• Integrate diverse data sources, including transactional databases, third-party platforms, and external APIs such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, Google Analytics, BigQuery, Google Ads, and Adjust.
• Work collaboratively with engineers, data scientists, analysts, and stakeholders to uphold data quality, consistency, and governance standards.
• Maintain and improve data platform reliability, scalability, and performance using both managed and open-source solutions.
• Assess and advise on adopting new technologies, tools, and approaches to enrich our data ecosystem.
• Contribute to documentation and best practice sharing within the Data Team and across the company.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in data engineering, data warehousing, data operations, or related fields.
• Proficient experience with at least one major cloud platform, AWS is preferred.
• Strong expertise using Linux tools and environments.
• Ability to deploy containerized applications using Docker on bare-metal servers.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, Economics, or another quantitative field.
• Advanced skills in SQL and PSQL, including relational database architectures, data modeling, and query tuning.
• Experience designing and maintaining data warehouse systems.
• Hands-on knowledge with columnar databases and related optimization strategies.
• Familiarity with workflow orchestration and distributed job scheduling tools, particularly Apache Airflow.
• Proficient programming skills in Python or Java, with a preference for Python.
• Good command of Linux environments and scripting using Bash.
• Experience with modern cloud-based data analytics platforms like ClickHouse, StarRocks, or equivalent.
• Experience handling S3-compatible open-source and managed storage solutions.
• Familiarity with data integration and CDC/ETL/ELT frameworks for processing large data volumes.
• Strong English communication skills.
