Overview
This opportunity is offered on behalf of a partner company seeking a Senior Craft Recruiter located in the United States. The role is pivotal in assembling and sustaining a talented workforce dedicated to extensive renewable energy construction initiatives nationwide. This remote position allows for impactful contribution to the renewable energy industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end recruitment processes for specialized craft positions, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, negotiating offers, onboarding coordination, and employment support.
- Recruit for specialized construction roles such as electricians, millwrights, turbine technicians, solar installers, and other skilled craft positions in renewable energy projects.
- Design and implement sourcing strategies leveraging multiple channels like job portals, trade schools, apprenticeship and veteran transition programs, referrals, and social platforms.
- Maintain and grow a network of qualified craft professionals to fulfill current and future staffing requirements.
- Collaborate with project managers, site leadership, workforce planners, and HR to anticipate labor needs and align recruitment efforts with project schedules.
- Manage candidate interviews, feedback collection, hiring documentation, and ensure an excellent candidate experience.
- Support workforce mobilization and onboarding during project ramp-up phases by coordinating pre-employment checks, certifications, background screenings, and related activities.
- Ensure accurate record-keeping in applicant tracking and project management systems.
- Analyze recruitment metrics such as time-to-fill and sourcing effectiveness to enhance hiring processes.
- Stay informed about labor market trends and adjust recruitment tactics accordingly to remain competitive.
- Develop training materials and onboarding resources to promote recruiter skill development and consistent processes.
- Provide coaching and training on sourcing methods, interviewing skills, candidate engagement, compliance, and recruiting technologies.
- Mentor junior recruiters and coordinating staff, fostering best practices throughout the talent acquisition team.
- Work with leadership to identify opportunities for recruiting process improvements and efficiency.
- Occasionally travel to support career fairs, hiring events, project onboarding, and workforce initiatives.
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and professional experience.
- 3 to 5+ years of recruitment experience, ideally within construction, renewable energy, industrial, or skilled trades sectors.
- Proven experience managing full recruitment lifecycles including sourcing, interviewing, assessments, and negotiating job offers.
- Recruitment experience targeting skilled craft or technical talent in competitive labor markets.
- Strong sourcing capabilities with a history of building and managing talent pipelines through diverse channels.
- Ability to foster strong relationships with candidates, hiring managers, project teams, and internal partners.
- Comprehensive understanding of workforce planning, recruiting operations, and candidate experience best practices.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with ability to engage across organizational levels.
- Exceptional organizational, prioritization, and multitasking skills to manage several projects concurrently.
- Adaptability to fast-paced and changing environments with a focus on accountability and detail.
- Experienced in utilizing applicant tracking systems and recruiting technologies; familiarity with iCIMS, UKG, or ServiceNow advantageous.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
- Ability to interpret recruitment analytics data to refine hiring strategies.
- Intermediate expertise in sourcing, interviewing, and negotiation techniques.
- Willingness to travel occasionally for recruiting and workforce events.
