Job description
Role Overview
This position involves active involvement throughout the full cycle of business analysis within one or more critical domains. Responsibilities range from conducting workshops to overseeing go-live and post-deployment support, ensuring that solutions built align accurately with requirements by collaborating closely with client teams and implementation partners.
Location
This role offers a hybrid work setup, allowing you to operate from anywhere within New Zealand.
Key Duties
- Conduct workshops to capture insights and translate these into detailed functional designs for development teams.
- Maintain and prioritize the backlog for assigned domains, including stories and acceptance criteria.
- Collaborate with implementation partners to enforce and uphold configuration decisions.
- Lead data migration activities, involving mapping, cleansing protocols, and reconciliation efforts.
- Create and execute test scripts, manage user acceptance testing (UAT), and address defects promptly.
- Prepare cutover strategies, document processes, and develop materials to ensure business readiness.
- Provide support during the hypercare phase, resolving production issues arising in the initial weeks.
Candidate Profile
- A minimum of five years' experience as a Business Analyst in enterprise systems delivery, including at least one full implementation project through go-live.
- Expertise in at least one domain area such as customer and billing, finance, asset management, human resources, or payroll.
- Experience working with ERP or other core platforms.
- Strong attention to detail in business processes, data handling, and system configuration.
- Excellent facilitation abilities and effective, clear written communication skills.
- Legal eligibility to work in New Zealand.
- Knowledge or experience in sectors such as water, energy and utilities, financial services, or government is advantageous.
- Familiarity with managing large-scale, complex transformations is beneficial.
