Role Overview

We are looking for a meticulous and proactive Senior Accountant with 2 to 5 years of relevant experience to manage daily financial operations and support our finance team. Experience in accounting within the IT or services industry is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and update daily accounts and general ledger entries.
• Record and reconcile all financial transactions including sales, purchases, receipts, and payments.
• Prepare comprehensive financial statements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable efficiently.
• Ensure timely preparation and filing of GST, TDS, and other statutory returns.
• Coordinate with external auditors to facilitate audit and compliance requirements.
• Handle payroll accounting and process expense reimbursements.
• Assist in budgeting and financial forecasting activities.
• Maintain thorough documentation and systematic filing of financial records.
• Communicate with clients and vendors concerning invoicing, payments, and reconciliation matters.
• Operate accounting software tools like Tally, Zoho Books, or QuickBooks proficiently.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance (B.Com preferred; M.Com or MBA advantageous).
• 2 to 5 years of accounting experience, ideally within the IT or services sector.
• Strong knowledge of Indian accounting standards, GST, TDS, and Registrar of Companies (ROC) compliance.
• Proficient use of accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent attention to detail paired with strong analytical capabilities.
• Ability to work independently and prioritise multiple tasks effectively.

Preferred Expertise

• Experience with project-based accounting and revenue recognition methods specific to IT services.
• Understanding of software billing practices, contracts, and retainer models.
• Familiarity with compliances related to SEZ (Special Economic Zone) and STPI (Software Technology Parks of India) if applicable.
