Senior Accountant

About the Role

We are seeking an accomplished Senior Accountant to oversee daily accounting functions at our Riyadh branch. This position is responsible for managing the entire accounting cycle, from processing transactions to completing final accounts, while ensuring adherence to local regulations including ZATCA guidelines, VAT, Corporate Tax, and Zakat.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily accounting tasks such as General Ledger management, Accounts Payable and Receivable, bank reconciliations, and month-end closings.
• Prepare comprehensive financial statements and finalize the accounting cycle.
• Provide Management Information System (MIS) reports to facilitate strategic decision-making by leadership.
• Ensure compliance with ZATCA requirements, including VAT returns, Corporate Tax filings, and Zakat calculations.
• Adhere to Saudi regulatory standards, maintain accounting protocols, and enforce internal control policies.
• Liaise with auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies to support compliance and audit processes.
• Assist in budgeting, managing cash flow, and financial reporting for ongoing projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Professional accreditation such as ACCA or CMA is preferred.
• Minimum 5 to 8 years of accounting experience demonstrating deep familiarity with Saudi accounting standards and regulations relevant to ZATCA, VAT, Corporate Tax, and Zakat.
• Experience with ERP software and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical abilities, robust organizational skills, and effective communication talents.
