About the Opportunity
Aotea Security invites applications for the role of Security Technician Apprentice. This role offers a unique chance to earn and develop professional skills concurrently, working on projects for some of New Zealand's leading companies and government bodies. The skills you acquire during this apprenticeship are highly transferable both nationally and internationally.
Learning and Qualifications
Apprentices will work towards obtaining the New Zealand Certificate in Electronic Security Installation, Levels 3 and 4. Practical work completed on the job will be documented to fulfill requirements towards these qualifications. Training includes both hands-on work under supervision and online coursework, with assessments conducted by approved Aotea Security assessors.
Apprenticeship Experience
New apprentices will receive guidance from supervisors who allocate tasks matched to their current expertise. You will become familiar with trade tools, installation best practices, cabling, and security device integration. The apprenticeship combines on-site work with online learning modules and testing.
