Role Overview
As a Secondary School Subject Tutor or Subject Reviewer, you will play a vital role in facilitating online learning for secondary school students across various disciplines. Responsibilities include crafting and teaching lessons in line with the curriculum, grading assignments, delivering detailed feedback, and monitoring learners' progress. In the Reviewer role, you will assess and enhance educational materials, verify the correctness and clarity of assessments, and ensure all content meets educational standards and internal policy. Collaboration with academic teams to continually improve course quality and learner outcomes is essential. This position is full-time and remote, requiring availability for live interactive sessions, scheduled online help hours, and prompt response to student queries.
Qualifications
- Expertise in one or more secondary school subjects such as Mathematics, Sciences, English, or Social Sciences.
- Proficiency with virtual teaching tools, learning management systems, and digital assessment software.
- Experience in curriculum design, lesson preparation, and academic content review ensuring accuracy and suitability.
- Strong communication skills to clearly convey complex ideas to diverse learners.
- Capability to offer constructive criticism, mentor students, and employ adaptable teaching methods for varied learning preferences.
- Excellent organization and ability to manage multiple classes, assignments, and deadlines remotely.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Education or related field; secondary education teaching credentials or experience preferred.
- Knowledge of African educational frameworks and international standards such as IGCSE or A-levels is advantageous.
- Dependable internet connection and ease with working entirely in a digital environment.
