Responsibilities

The Scheduler is charged with effectively managing shift rosters, handling call-outs, organizing vacation and sick leave coverages, and ensuring accurate entry and review of payroll timesheets in accordance with collective agreement guidelines. Additional duties include compiling, tracking, and reporting staff and client statistics to support operational needs.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Possession of a diploma or certificate in Business and Administration is advantageous.
• Minimum of two years’ experience in a related role.
• Proficiency or experience with web-based payroll software is preferred.
• Intermediate skills in Microsoft Word and Excel, alongside familiarity with database software.
• Successful completion of a Ministry of Public Safety and Solicitor General Criminal Record Check is mandatory.

Work Schedule and Compensation

• Hourly wage ranges from $30.18 to $33.49.
• Work location: 535 Ellice Street - Rock Bay Landing, Victoria, BC.
• Work days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Sunday.
• Shift hours: 8:45 AM to 7:30 PM.
• Total weekly hours: 40.
• Position type: Permanent, full-time under the BCGEU Union.

Additional Information

Employees may qualify to transfer work hours between other Community Social Services Agencies pursuant to the Retention and Portability memorandum, subject to certain limitations.
