RME Coordinator

Job Overview

The RME Coordinator plays a key role in managing overall facility and administrative operations with a focus on maintenance and reliability engineering (RME). This position demands technical expertise in electrical, mechanical, and automation systems as well as coordination of soft services to ensure smooth site functioning.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly technical inspections following the Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) schedules.
• Respond to technical trouble ticket (TT) calls for corrective maintenance, servicing, and repair activities.
• Liaise with vendors regarding systems covered under warranty or Annual Maintenance Contract (AMC).
• Monitor and record energy consumption.
• Conduct maintenance activities for diesel generators (DG).
• Maintain and troubleshoot conveyor systems, covering both electrical and mechanical components.
• Install, maintain, and repair power distribution setups including branch circuits, lighting, transformers, wiring, and materials.
• Handle relay logic and ladder diagram troubleshooting; work with various control components such as photo eyes, motor starters, relays, limit switches, proximity sensors, timers, solenoids, servo drives, frequency inverters, linear drives, tacks, and encoders.
• Support production teams by adhering to safety protocols and customer-centric practices.
• Manage minor refurbishment and upgrades to building finishes, fixtures, fittings, fixed furniture, and operational equipment like trolleys, cages, and carts.
• Regularly inspect fire alarm systems and fire extinguishers.
• Carry out maintenance tasks such as oiling and greasing of carts, trolleys, pumps, and rolling shutters.
• Attend routine electrical maintenance jobs.
• Authorize and issue permits for height and hot work.
• Handle minor civil and plumbing corrective maintenance requests.
• Generate daily reports summarizing TT closures, ongoing cases, and root cause analyses (RCA).
• Keep the tools inventory updated.
• Oversee PPM schedule adherence for maintenance tasks.
• Manage soft service activities including pest control, housekeeping, and scrap/garbage disposal.
• Supervise agency staff and oversee overall shift management.

About the Team

The Reliability and Maintenance Engineering (RME) team is responsible for upkeep and maintenance activities critical to site functionality. This role requires a blend of technical know-how and soft service management within the facility.

Candidate Qualifications

• Educational or professional background in Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics and Communication, Instrumentation, or Controls disciplines.
• Preferred experience of at least 1 year working with conveyors, automation systems, or control systems maintenance.
