About the Role

As a Risk Analyst for airport projects based in Mississauga, you will play a crucial role in managing risk and insurance activities to ensure project success and organizational security.
Primary Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage organization-wide risk issues, including insurance management.
- Handle diverse risk topics such as financial reporting, IT security, safety, health and environment, staff security, preliminary risk assessments for proposals and pursuits, as well as project execution challenges.
- Utilize advanced expertise to address moderately complex tasks independently or with minimal guidance.
- Review and oversee the risk-related work of team members to identify and resolve issues either autonomously or with managerial support.
- Provide advice and contribute to strategy formulation and policy development concerning risk management disciplines.
- Manage special projects related to risk with limited supervision and provide detailed reporting.
Qualifications
- A university degree in project management, quantity surveying, engineering, or a related field, with PMP certification considered a plus.
- Minimum of 4 years relevant experience in implementing risk management processes, identifying risks, and developing mitigation strategies specifically for large construction projects or programs.
Preferred Experience
- 6 to 8 years of professional background in risk management for large-scale construction initiatives.
- Skilled in facilitating risk workshops and managing stakeholder groups.
- Experience with Quantitative Risk Analysis (QRA) methodologies and tools.
- Proficient with Enterprise Risk Management software, such as Active Risk Manager (ARM).
- Experienced in risk support throughout program/project lifecycles including investment decisions and milestone reviews.
- Comprehensive understanding of integration between risk and other project management areas like cost, schedule, quality, change management, reporting, and commercial aspects.
- Familiarity with different contracting strategies and associated risk profiles.
- Background in Engineering, Procurement, and Construction advisory roles related to public infrastructure or industrial projects.
- Strong verbal and written communication, and facilitation capabilities.
- Collaborative work approach with the ability to influence stakeholders effectively in managing risks.
- Capability to prioritize and oversee multiple consulting projects simultaneously.
- Membership in professional bodies such as AACE or PMI is an advantage.

- This is a full-time, on-site position requiring presence at the office five days a week in Mississauga, Ontario.
