Job Purpose
This role focuses on delivering exceptional face-to-face customer service within a retail setting, while actively promoting and selling Personal Lines Insurance products. The Retail Sales Advisor will engage clients proactively, assess their insurance needs, and provide expert advice aligned with company sales objectives and standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as an engaging, sales-focused point of contact for walk-in customers, ensuring a professional and welcoming in-store atmosphere.
- Assess customer requirements to recommend appropriate Personal Lines Insurance solutions, driving sales growth.
- Meet or exceed individual and store sales targets to contribute to overall business success.
- Promote company insurance products through cross-selling and upselling based on current marketing strategies and sales campaigns.
- Provide clear, compliant, and accurate product details to customers as per organizational policies.
- Generate insurance quotations and assist clients with new policy applications, policy modifications, and renewals.
- Maintain high standards in collecting complete and precise customer data for quotations, policy issuance, updates, and renewals.
- Identify potential risks exceeding personal authorization limits and promptly escalate to the appropriate manager.
- Develop and sustain strong relationships with customers and business partners to encourage repeat purchases and loyalty.
- Participate in sales campaigns and initiatives to help achieve set targets and objectives.
- Adhere strictly to compliance requirements including audits, regulatory frameworks, and company internal controls.
- Follow designated store operating hours, shift patterns, and attendance expectations as outlined by management.
- Work collaboratively with team members and the broader Personal Lines department to ensure cohesive service delivery and operational efficiency.
- Perform additional related tasks as necessary to support overall business operations.
Technical & Operational Duties
- Review, price, approve, decline, and issue new and renewal policies for Personal Lines products, operating within set delegated authority and abiding by underwriting guidelines and management directives.
- Ensure attainment of sales performance measures, including KPIs and quality thresholds aligned with business aims.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
- At least 2 to 3 years of experience in a customer-centric, sales-oriented role within insurance or financial services, with preference for those with retail or store-based experience.
- Must be willing to work on shifts as per operational needs.
- Possession of CISI certification is mandatory.
- Experience working in the Qatar insurance market is required.
