About the Role

This position is with a respected independent statutory authority in Ireland’s Health & Social Care sector, located in Dublin with easy public transport access. The appointment is initially for six months, with potential for extension, operating under a hybrid working model requiring 1-2 days per week in the office.

Key Responsibilities

As a Research Officer within the Health Information Standards team, you will contribute to establishing national health and social care information exchange standards and developing supportive implementation tools. Your duties span research, stakeholder engagement, administrative support, operational tasks, and coordinating various team activities. Your efforts will assist in timely and professional completion of operational, analytical, and reporting objectives for the team.

Qualifications and Experience

Applicants should hold a degree in health, social care, or related health disciplines. Additional postgraduate education specializing in fields such as health sciences, public health, health services research or management, evidence-based healthcare, healthcare quality or improvement, health psychology, public policy, learning technology, informatics, information science, digital technology, or computer science is preferred but not mandatory.

A minimum of six months of post-graduate experience in research is required, including demonstrated abilities in conducting literature reviews and evidence synthesis. Proficiency in composing, reviewing, editing, and proofreading documents for diverse audiences is essential. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are critical for effective stakeholder engagement. Competency with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and capacity to meet strict project timelines are also necessary.
