Role Overview

Oceania invites experienced and compassionate Registered Nurses to join its care teams serving Upper Hutt and surrounding areas. This opportunity allows you to serve in multiple locations, with flexible arrangements including full-time, part-time, or casual shifts. The role emphasizes clinical leadership within a nurse-led model to ensure exceptional and person-focused care that enhances the wellbeing of residents.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate comprehensive daily clinical care for residents.
• Conduct thorough nursing assessments and develop tailored care plans.
• Exercise sound clinical judgement to adapt to residents' evolving needs.
• Engage meaningfully with residents, their families, and allied health teams.
• Lead and mentor Healthcare Assistants and other care staff.
• Ensure precise clinical records and support ongoing quality improvements.
• Maintain a safe, respectful, and nurturing environment conducive to resident thriving.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Holding a current Annual Practising Certificate from New Zealand.
• Registration with the Nursing Council of New Zealand.
• Prior nursing experience, preferably in aged care or related clinical fields.
• Familiarity with electronic clinical documentation systems.
• Strong skills in clinical assessment and decision-making.
• Excellent communication and leadership capabilities.
• Collaborative mindset and a genuine commitment to elderly care.
• Willingness to work varying rostered shifts, including nights and weekends.

Experience with InterRAI assessments is advantageous but not mandatory.
