Regional Content Specialist, SEO & AI Experimentation Analyst (LATAM & SEA)

About The Role

Shopee is seeking a driven Regional Content Specialist to spearhead AI-powered SEO content strategies and experimental initiatives across Latin America and Southeast Asia markets. This hybrid role requires a blend of content creation, SEO expertise, and analytical experimentation with AI tools to maximize organic search visibility.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Design and implement AI-enabled SEO content experiments focusing on prompt frameworks, content architecture, and publishing tactics.
• Conduct comprehensive keyword research, analyze search intent, and identify gaps to uncover scalable content opportunities.
• Monitor and interpret content performance metrics such as traffic, search rankings, engagement levels, and AI-related visibility to guide continuous improvements.
• Lead and contribute to SEO and geographic initiatives, executing regional content experiments across prioritized markets.
• Keep detailed content tracking and reporting systems up to date, generating regular performance reports.
• Develop and oversee SEO content calendars aligned with trends, search demand, and strategic priorities.
• Create, edit, and publish a mix of AI-assisted and manually crafted content spanning articles, category pages, and other landing pages.
• Optimize on-page SEO factors including meta descriptions, internal linking, and structured formats like FAQs and comparisons.
• Manage content workflows ensuring quality consistency among writers and contributors.
• Collaborate closely with regional and local teams to synchronize SEO content with marketing campaigns and category goals.
• Provide coaching and mentorship to writers and interns to maintain SEO and editorial standards.
• Support the production and dissemination of departmental newsletters highlighting initiatives and key updates.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• At least 1 year of professional experience in SEO content strategy or digital content management for websites, blogs, or category/product pages.
• Excellent writing, editing, and grammar abilities with sensitivity to cultural differences and localization needs.
• Proficiency with AI content tools such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, or Claude for content creation and optimization.
• Thorough understanding of SEO principles including search intent analysis, keyword research, and on-page optimization.
• Experience using SEO and analytics platforms like Google Search Console, Ahrefs, Google Analytics, and Keyword Planner.
• Strong analytical mindset focused on leveraging data to enhance content performance.
• Comfortable with fast-paced, experimentation-led workflows requiring frequent iteration.
• Ability to independently manage projects and demonstrate accountability with little supervision.
• Previous involvement in managing content workflows and mentoring junior team members is advantageous.
