Quantity Surveyor

Role Overview

TPS Construction Pte Ltd is hiring a Quantity Surveyor in Singapore to oversee project measurements, pricing, contracts, and commercial controls across construction works from early estimates through to final accounts.

Key Duties

• Carry out quantity take-offs and cost estimating for construction projects from the first calculations through final settlement.
• Draft tender packs and contract documentation, including bills of quantities.
• Review quotations submitted by contractors and subcontractors and negotiate where needed.
• Build cost analyses and watch for budget overruns so project goals stay on track.
• Assess and process payments and variation works for clients and subcontractors to support an efficient workflow.
• Coordinate with clients, management, contractors, and subcontractors while tracking progress on main-contract and sub-contract works.
• Follow project execution and handle measurement and valuation of variations, interim valuations, and the final account.
• Make sure all work aligns with contractual obligations, terms, and conditions.
• Work alongside Project Managers and Engineers to understand how changes affect budgets and schedules.
• Take on any other ad hoc duties assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or a closely related qualification is required.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in the field is needed for this position.
• Background knowledge in both civil and architectural works is preferred.
• Strong communication and negotiation abilities are essential.
• Prior experience in project tendering is required.
