Role Summary
The Quality Assurance Associate will play a pivotal role within Pearson's assessment division by ensuring the accuracy and functionality of online forms and tests. This temporary position (4-6 months) involves conducting thorough user acceptance and regression testing to verify form performance across various devices and platforms. The role includes identifying defects, documenting outcomes, and collaborating with internal teams to uphold quality standards in a fully remote setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute user acceptance and regression tests on online assessment forms.
- Adhere to detailed test cases for validating functionality and settings of online forms.
- Verify consistent operation of forms on multiple devices and operating systems.
- Log defects and test results using Zephyr and support issue analysis.
- Manage testing schedules, prioritize work tasks, and communicate any delays promptly.
- Engage in team collaboration and assist other departments as required.
- Complete training covering testing protocols, updates, and best practices.
- Contribute feedback to improvement initiatives and document recurring problems.
- Work overtime including evenings and weekends when necessary to meet deadlines.
Qualifications and Skills
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Familiarity with common mobile and computer operating systems.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
- Exceptional attention to detail with accuracy in detecting discrepancies.
- Efficient communication skills to convey testing findings clearly.
- Ability to organize workload and prioritize effectively both independently and within teams.
- Adaptability to dynamic work requirements and deadlines.
- Preferred experience with tools like Jira and Zephyr, understanding of software development lifecycle testing models, and proficiency in MS Office 365.
- Prior software testing and troubleshooting experience is advantageous.
- Eagerness to learn novel testing methodologies and technologies.
