Role Overview
Located in Cork, Ireland, IPS seeks a skilled Project Manager to lead project activities ranging from minor renovations to extensive greenfield facilities. The role involves planning and managing all engineering functions, facilitating client interactions, and advising on required manpower and technical resources to ensure successful project execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver projects meeting defined scope, budget, timeline, and quality standards.
- Engage in business development activities such as attending client pre-bid meetings and preparing proposals collaboratively with senior team members.
- Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies in partnership with leadership.
- Manage project scope vigilantly, including the documentation and communication of any scope changes to clients.
- Prepare and maintain essential project documentation including meeting minutes, action item lists, execution plans, and monthly financial and schedule reports.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum seven years of relevant experience in project delivery, with at least five years in a project management capacity.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a similar technical discipline.
- Experience working on manufacturing facility design projects related to the life sciences industry.
- Construction industry background.
- Familiarity with Earned Value Management and related project control methodologies.
- Commitment to promoting safety and compliance with IPS and client safety regulations.
Work Environment and Additional Notes
- Travel may be required depending on project locations.
- This is a safety-sensitive role with fieldwork responsibilities at client sites including construction, process, packaging, manufacturing, and research facilities.
- All interviews will be conducted either in-person or virtually with mandatory video interaction.
