Project Finance Analyst

About the Role

A leading financial institution in New York is searching for a motivated Analyst to join its US Project Finance & Infrastructure lending division. This role is designed for candidates aiming to progressively take on more responsibility by supporting deal teams with key tasks such as financial modeling, analysis of counterparty statements, and thorough due diligence on fresh lending transactions. The candidate will contribute to assembling materials for management and credit committees and collaborate closely with senior team members to craft marketing materials, pitch decks, and industry insights.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth due diligence on prospective project finance deals
• Develop and maintain complex financial models and perform detailed financial analyses
• Compile and prepare comprehensive transaction presentation materials for internal management and credit approval
• Support the closing process of transactions by managing internal workflows and coordinating with external consultants, advisors, and legal teams
• Engage with internal departments such as rates, commodities, debt capital markets, and investment banking for cross-functional collaboration
• Assist in creating marketing content and periodic internal industry reports
• Monitor and report on existing asset portfolios post-booking
• Gather, organize, and analyze relevant market data supporting business decisions

Candidate Profile

• Between zero and two years of professional experience in banking, project finance, or infrastructure lending
• Demonstrated understanding or track record in energy-related and non-energy infrastructure financing
• Proficient in building and utilizing financial models
• Highly self-driven, energetic, and able to excel in a dynamic work environment with multiple concurrent projects
• Team-oriented with a positive attitude and eagerness to contribute toward a strong team culture
