Key Responsibilities
- Oversee multiple construction projects from initiation through completion, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, performance, timeline, and financial objectives.
- Build and maintain robust relationships with clients, contractors, and internal teams, acting as the main escalation contact beyond the project manager level.
- Lead project teams by setting goals, providing feedback, fostering growth, and ensuring all required documentation and meetings are conducted efficiently.
- Manage project finances including budgeting, forecasting, accounts payable and receivable, and change orders; track project metrics and KPIs to guide decisions.
- Implement comprehensive risk management strategies to identify, evaluate, mitigate, and communicate potential project risks effectively.
- Ensure thorough, organized project documentation, including start-up meetings and health reviews, and monitor action items and deliverables.
- Negotiate resolutions and maintain adherence to contractual terms with project stakeholders to guarantee successful delivery.
- Mentor and develop project management staff aligned with NexGen’s vision, values, and mission.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in construction science, construction management, engineering, or a related field with 6 years of experience, or 11 years of construction-related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Demonstrated success in leading large, complex, multi-regional construction projects, with strong leadership and team management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, MS Project, Word, PowerPoint) and familiarity with construction management software such as Procore, Bluebeam, and CMIC.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills to effectively lead teams and manage stakeholder relationships.
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively, up to 75% of the time.
- Strong analytical, strategic thinking, problem-solving, resource planning, and scheduling capabilities.
- Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to excellence, safety, and continuous improvement throughout all project phases.
- In-depth understanding of construction procedures, especially mechanical construction, with proactive issue identification and resolution abilities.

Physical Demands and Work Environment
The role requires frequent standing, walking, sitting, using hands and arms, reaching, talking, and hearing. Activities include climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, lifting/moving up to 25 lbs frequently and up to 100 lbs occasionally. Visual accuracy for near and distant vision is necessary.
Work environment is typically a moderate-noise office with controlled temperature and humidity, with occasional exposure to wet/humid conditions, mechanical parts, outdoor weather, elevated areas, fumes, extreme temperatures, electrical hazards, explosives, vibration, and loud site noise. Overtime and travel commitments apply.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This role includes managing and supervising staff members.
