Role Overview
Reporting to the Planning Manager, the Production Planning Coordinator is instrumental in creating and overseeing production and packout schedules that align customer demands with raw product availability, inventory levels, and site capacity. This role collaborates with diverse teams including Field, Production, Packout, Engineering, Cold Store, and Sales to ensure operational efficiency and timely product delivery to customers.
Key Duties
- Develop and control production and packout schedules balancing demand and supply factors.
- Ensure alignment of operational resources with the established production plan.
- Track and evaluate plan performance, addressing discrepancies and applying corrective measures.
- Assist with inventory management practices, emphasizing FIFO principles and reduction of aged stock.
- Maintain precise planning data and generate relevant reports.
- Seek and implement enhancements to planning accuracy, operational efficiency, and plant utilization.
Candidate Profile
- Experience in production planning, scheduling, supply chain, or manufacturing environments.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Office suite.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Interest in leveraging technology, AI, and digital tools to optimize planning and reporting.
