Role Overview
As a Production Planner, your pivotal role focuses on enhancing sustainability and minimizing waste. You will foster strong partnerships with internal stakeholders and customers, ensuring planning commitments are met efficiently while prioritizing resource optimization both for immediate improvements and long-term strategies. Your contributions directly impact a valued community through ensuring timely delivery of quality products.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate across departments including operations, procurement, and logistics to coordinate production planning
- Participate actively in Sales and Operations Planning, leveraging data-driven insights for sound decision-making
- Plan production launches for new products to enable timely market availability
- Develop optimized production schedules maximizing efficiency of labor and equipment use
- Oversee and manage safety stock levels of finished goods throughout the supply chain
- Negotiate sales scheduling and shelf-life requirements to align with production operations
Qualifications and Requirements
- Degree qualification relevant to supply chain or minimum of two years experience in a planning role
- Proven knowledge of and experience with ERP systems
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Experience with Power BI and Power Query is highly desirable
