Process Technician

About the Role

Huntsman Corporation invites applications for the role of Process Technician based in Jurong Island, Singapore. Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate the process plant and utility units safely to produce quality products following Standard Operating Procedures.
• Serve as a permit checker within the Safe Work Permit system to ensure compliance and safety.
• Perform routine logging of plant operations promptly and report any abnormalities observed.
• Respond quickly to Distributed Control System (DCS) alarms and any deviations to maintain plant safety and operational reliability.
• Collect process samples and conduct water titration analyses timely as per SOP requirements.
• Execute scheduled preventive maintenance tasks with attention to quality and detail.
• Manage plant shutdowns and start-ups safely to align with production timelines.
• Prepare process lines and systems by ensuring cleanliness and lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures before handing over for maintenance.
• Participate in punch listing and verification tasks during mechanical completion of the plant.
• Actively respond as a member of the Emergency Response team during plant emergencies.

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum technical education in chemical processing or a related field.
• Preference for candidates with experience in petrochemical or refinery industries.
• Training opportunities are available for those without prior industry experience.
