Private Chef

Role Overview

We are looking for a proficient and dependable Domestic Chef to oversee the daily culinary demands of our household. The successful candidate will have a passion for cooking, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to prepare fresh, nutritious, and tasty meals aligned with our dietary preferences. This position entails complete responsibility for the kitchen including meal planning, grocery purchasing, cooking, and upholding stringent hygiene practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and plan daily meals such as breakfast, lunch, and dinner for family members and occasional guests.
• Design weekly meal plans tailored to dietary needs and preferences, including options like low-carb, vegetarian, regional Indian cuisines, and Continental dishes.
• Manage kitchen supplies by procuring fresh, quality ingredients and groceries within budget constraints.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and food safety, ensuring proper food storage, safe handling of leftovers, and thorough cleaning of cooking areas, utensils, and appliances every day.
• Provide catering services for occasional small family events, dinners, or parties held at the residence.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Demonstrable experience as a Private or Domestic Chef or working in commercial kitchens/restaurants with intent to work in a household setting.
• Expertise in culinary preparation of specified cuisines such as Traditional Indian, Healthy Asian, and Italian. Ability to customize spice and oil levels as per instructions.
• Strong knowledge of food safety standards, personal hygiene, and clean cooking practices.
• Reliable, punctual, respectful of household privacy, and open to constructive feedback on food quality and preferences.
• Must be able to provide valid identification and references from past employers.
