Preservation Engineer

Job Overview

This position involves supervising, monitoring, and planning preservation activities to maintain the integrity of equipment and materials stored in the warehouse, from receipt to final issuance.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and oversee preservation strategies and storage techniques to prevent damage, corrosion, or deterioration of warehouse materials and equipment.
• Conduct routine inspections to assess condition of stored items, identify issues, and suggest maintenance or conservation measures.
• Evaluate and apply effective preservation methods based on supplier or vendor guidelines to improve current practices.
• Monitor preservation technicians in the field to ensure compliance with procedures, including correct use of chemicals and application techniques.
• Guide warehouse personnel on proper handling, packaging, and storage aligned with preservation protocols.
• Maintain comprehensive preservation documentation such as reports and check sheets according to procedural requirements.
• Execute timely preservation activities in accordance with manufacturer recommendations and ADNOC policies.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Corrosion Engineering, or a related field.
• Demonstrated expertise in preservation methods and conservation techniques within the oil and gas sector.
• Understanding of relevant regulatory standards and guidelines for preservation and conservation.
• Knowledge of preservation-related materials, tools, and equipment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to coordinate effectively with warehouse staff and external specialists.
