Role Overview
Pinnacle Solutions is seeking a skilled Powertrain Technician based in Tabuk, Saudi Arabia, to perform critical maintenance on CH-47 aircraft powertrain and rotor systems. This position involves hands-on unit-level tasks essential to aircraft operational readiness.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct unit-level maintenance and repairs on aircraft powertrain and rotor assemblies, including removal and replacement of quills, transmissions, adapting parts, rotary wing hubs, and tanks.
- Disassemble, repair, reassemble, adjust, balance, and align powertrain and rotor components such as forward and aft rotor head assemblies according to established directives.
- Apply corrosion prevention techniques and perform cleaning, preservation, and storage of powertrain and rotor components.
- Operate and maintain ground support equipment, common and specialized tools, ensuring facilities for storing hazardous and returnable materials are managed appropriately.
- Manage requisitioning and stocking of shop and bench repair parts, prepare turn-in requests for repair components, and utilize precision measuring instruments and alignment fixtures required for maintenance tasks.
- Support customers by managing shop bench stock and operating equipment including AGSE and PGSE.
- Plan, coordinate, and synchronize powertrain maintenance tasks across organizations to meet contractual operational readiness goals.
- Set daily operational goals related to powertrain maintenance to achieve required operational readiness rates.
- Oversee daily maintenance management of assigned aircraft in coordination with Maintenance Lead and Aviation Logistics for parts and spares.
- Adhere to maintenance quality control procedures, direct inquiries and investigations related to powertrain maintenance, and coordinate maintenance support activities with the Maintenance Lead.
- Assist with Downed Aircraft Recovery Team processes in collaboration with PC and Maintenance Lead.
- Maintain and update aircraft maintenance records and forms accurately.
- Provide on-the-job training, coaching, and mentoring to personnel regarding aircraft powertrain maintenance tasks.
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety standards.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of eight years’ experience as an aircraft powertrain mechanic.
- Successful completion of a U.S. Government armed forces Powertrain course or equivalent civilian training.
- Proficient in using computer-based interactive technical manuals, aircraft maintenance forms, and aviation maintenance management systems.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills with professionalism in customer interactions.
- Valid state or government-issued driver’s license.
- Ability to pass overseas deployment physical examination upon hire.
- High school diploma or equivalent educational qualification.
- U.S. Citizenship is mandatory.
Preferred Qualifications
- Military school training.
- Associate’s degree preferred.
- Non-Destructive Inspection (NDI) Level II or higher certification preferred.
