About the Role
Al Deera Commercial Real Estate Company in Qatar is seeking a dedicated Pool Supervisor responsible for managing the everyday functions, safety, cleanliness, and upkeep of the swimming pool and adjacent areas. The role demands strong leadership qualities, sound knowledge of pool management, and a commitment to uphold stringent standards concerning safety, hygiene, and guest services.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily pool operations alongside surrounding amenities to ensure smooth functioning.
- Maintain cleanliness, safety, organization, and readiness of the pool premises.
- Regularly test and monitor water quality metrics such as chlorine and pH levels.
- Collaborate with maintenance teams managing pool equipment including pumps and filtration systems and schedule necessary repairs.
- Conduct frequent safety inspections, promptly reporting hazards or repair needs.
- Lead, supervise, and coordinate duties of lifeguards, pool attendants, cleaners, and other designated personnel.
- Create work schedules and ensure sufficient staffing levels at all times.
- Uphold and enforce pool safety regulations and operational procedures professionally.
- Ensure availability and good condition of first-aid kits, lifesaving, and emergency equipment.
- Respond swiftly to emergencies, incidents, and customer concerns.
- Keep detailed daily logs of inspections, water quality readings, and any incidents.
- Manage inventory and stock levels for chemicals, cleaning supplies, and operational materials.
- Ensure strict compliance with company policies as well as health and safety regulations.
Candidate Requirements
- At least two to three years’ experience in pool operations, hospitality, recreational services, or facilities supervision.
- Prior experience in a supervisory role is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of swimming pool maintenance and water treatment processes.
- Awareness of health, hygiene, and safety protocols related to pool environments.
- First Aid and CPR certification is preferred; lifeguard certification is an additional benefit.
- Excellent leadership and effective communication skills.
- Availability and willingness to work flexible schedules including weekends and public holidays.
