Pool Lifeguard

Role Overview

We are looking for a watchful and dependable Pool Lifeguard to guarantee the safety of all swimmers and visitors. The successful applicant will demonstrate vigilance, promptness, and dedication to fostering a secure and friendly poolside atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise activities in and around the swimming pool to ensure guest and resident safety.
• Uphold and enforce safety rules and guidelines to avoid accidents or injuries.
• Quickly handle emergencies, providing first aid and CPR when necessary.
• Perform routine checks on pool areas and safety equipment.
• Keep the pool and its surroundings tidy and orderly.
• Document and report any incidents, potential risks, or equipment issues to management promptly.
• Offer excellent service by assisting guests with any pool-related questions or needs.
• Verify that rescue and emergency tools are in proper working order and readily accessible.

Requirements

• Possession of valid lifeguard certification from an accredited body.
• Current certifications in First Aid, CPR, and AED usage.
• At least one year of previous experience serving as a lifeguard is preferred.
• Excellent swimming proficiency and rescue capabilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Composure and decisive action skills under urgent circumstances.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts including weekends and public holidays.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in hotel, resort, or recreational facility settings.
• Basic familiarity with pool upkeep and water safety regulations.
