Policeman/Policewoman

Position Overview

We maintain safety and order across a diverse area serving approximately 18,000 residents. Our team of 11 collaborates regionally with police forces from Uster, Dübendorf, and Volketswil, strengthening coordinated patrol activities. We are currently seeking an additional Police Officer to join us at 80-100% capacity, available immediately or by arrangement.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform security, traffic, and criminal police duties as defined by the Police Ordinance and Police Act of the Canton of Zurich.
• Conduct patrol services in Illnau-Effretikon and in the regional network spanning Uster, Volketswil, and Dübendorf.
• Maintain positive relationships with community members and partner authorities.
• Undertake supplementary duties and side responsibilities depending on suitability.

Candidate Requirements

• Completed police training with a federal police certificate and Swiss citizenship.
• Unblemished reputation, ability to work collaboratively, service-oriented mindset, and strong communication skills.
• Willingness to work irregular hours in accordance with shift schedules.
