Role Overview
The Podcast Video Editor role is a part-time, fully remote position centered on editing and producing video episodes for The Corner Lot. Key daily duties include synchronizing and organizing multi-camera and audio footage, editing lengthy podcast recordings into captivating episodes, and applying consistent color grading and audio balancing to achieve a refined, professional presentation. Additional responsibilities encompass designing motion graphics and on-screen titles, incorporating brand visuals, and preparing video clips tailored for social media and promotional distribution. The editor will work alongside the host and production team to fine-tune episode flow, uphold an efficient post-production process, and adhere to regular release schedules.
Qualifications
- Proven expertise in video production and editing, specifically for multi-camera podcasts or interview-centric content.
- Advanced skills in color grading to maintain visual uniformity and high-quality imagery.
- Experience creating motion graphics, including titles, lower thirds, transitions, and brand elements.
- Proficiency with professional editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve.
- Competence in organizing footage, managing file naming conventions, and version control under tight deadlines.
- Strong grasp of audio editing, sound mixing, and syncing audio tracks with video footage.
- Detail-oriented with excellent time management and the ability to meet deadlines independently.
- Prior experience with podcast, interview, or talk show formats is advantageous, along with familiarity with commercial real estate topics.
