Role and Responsibilities
- Accurately and promptly dispense prescribed medications to patients.
- Offer guidance and counselling to patients on correct medication usage, including possible side effects and drug interactions.
- Verify prescriptions to ensure correctness and suitability considering patient health conditions and existing medication regimens.
- Manage medication inventory efficiently, including proper storage and monitoring expiration dates.
- Assess medication therapies' effectiveness and advise healthcare providers on necessary adjustments.
- Ensure adherence to relevant pharmacy laws and regulatory requirements.
- Engage in patient education initiatives and health awareness campaigns.
- Stay informed on advancements in medications, treatment procedures, and pharmacy practices.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Holds a Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or Pharm.D from a recognized institution.
- Possesses a valid license to practice as a pharmacist within the region.
- Demonstrates strong expertise in pharmacology, medication management, and patient care techniques.
- Exhibits excellent communication and interpersonal abilities for effective interaction with patients and medical teams.
- Is detail-focused and highly organized in managing responsibilities.
- Familiar with pharmacy management software and electronic health record (EHR) platforms.
- Capable of handling a fast-paced work setting and multitasking efficiently.
