We seek a Payroll Processor based remotely in India or Pakistan to join our rapidly expanding team, someone who excels in accuracy and payroll fundamentals.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle full-cycle payroll processing for multiple US and international clients on various schedules including weekly, bi-weekly, semi-monthly, and monthly.
- Accurately calculate variable pay components such as bonuses, commissions, overtime, and reimbursements before payment distribution.
- Perform thorough pre-payroll audits verifying employee details, timecards, and pay rates prior to processing.
- Set up and manage client accounts across multiple payroll platforms like Gusto, QuickBooks Payroll, Rippling, ADP, Deel, Ontop, and Wise.
- Onboard new hires, administer global contractor payments, and configure pay structure settings.
- Troubleshoot and resolve synchronization errors, platform malfunctions, and integration issues.
- Act as the main liaison for client leadership and employees on payroll matters, clearly communicating deadlines and resolving discrepancies promptly.
- Ensure compliance with US federal, state, local, and international payroll laws and regulations.
- Monitor tax registrations, statutory withholdings, and labor regulations affecting payroll.
- Coordinate tax filings including quarterly and annual forms (W-2s, 1099s), and manage government tax correspondence.
- Streamline payroll processes by identifying inefficiencies, establishing standard operating procedures, and recommending technological improvements for scalability.

- Proficient communicator with US clients, handling inquiries and concerns professionally.
- Accountable and proactive in troubleshooting and improving payroll workflows.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP), Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC), or equivalent certifications preferred.
- Minimum of three years managing full-cycle payroll for multiple clients/entities with a strong focus on US payroll and experience in global contractor payroll processing.
- Hands-on experience with payroll platforms such as Gusto, QuickBooks Payroll, Rippling, ADP, Deel, Ontop, and Wise.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles related to payroll, including ledger postings and account reconciliations within QuickBooks Online.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills for direct client and employee engagement.
- Highly organized with the ability to meet strict deadlines across multiple accounts with exceptional attention to detail.
