Job Overview
Altrad UK, Ireland & Nordics is seeking a dedicated Payroll Officer to join their Goldthorpe-based team, focusing on weekly payroll management.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately processing multiple weekly payroll runs.
- Meeting processing deadlines at both central and regional levels.
- Reviewing exception reports and correcting discrepancies.
- Calculating any payroll overpayments.
- Handling End of Year Update (EYU) procedures.
- Managing payments related to SSP, SPP, and SMP.
- Updating payroll data such as pay rates, tax codes, and bank details.
- Responding to employee payroll inquiries.
- Completing third-party enquiry forms.
- Ensuring full compliance with statutory payroll legislation.
- Performing month-end payroll reporting and payment processing.
- Executing auto-enrolment tasks.
- Submitting Real Time Information (RTI) reports to HMRC.
- Processing manual employee payments when necessary.
- Managing year-end payroll procedures.
Candidate Requirements
- Possession of a formal payroll qualification or demonstrable relevant experience.
- Strong attention to numerical accuracy and detail.
- Proficiency with IT systems.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
