Position Overview
The role of Payroll Analyst is pivotal in supporting all aspects of payroll processing to ensure payments are accurate, timely, and adhere to compliance standards. Reporting directly to the Payroll Lead, the individual will handle payroll inquiries, manage ticket queues, follow up on pending issues, and collaborate closely with HR partners to uphold service quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage fully in the payroll processing lifecycle, maintaining adherence to policies and ensuring accuracy and efficiency at every step.
- Manage and process payroll tickets, attentively addressing standard requests while escalating more complex matters as necessary.
- Track and resolve aging or outstanding tickets promptly by coordinating priorities with team members to minimize backlog.
- Handle escalated payroll issues in partnership with the Payroll Lead to find effective solutions for complicated queries.
- Serve as a primary contact for employee payroll questions, delivering clear and timely responses with professionalism.
- Participate in daily team meetings to review priorities, ticket status, and address immediate challenges collaboratively.
- Take part in weekly discussions with HR business partners to update on ticket progress, identify common issues, and suggest improvements.
- Support preparation of weekly and monthly reports detailing ticket volumes, resolution timelines, and other key metrics while maintaining documentation of resolved cases.
- Ensure compliance with payroll processes and contribute to audit readiness by following procedures and maintaining process records.
- Maintain customer satisfaction by analyzing feedback regularly and implementing actions for continual improvement.
- Adhere to Kraft Heinz's Management System standards, aligning payroll operations with established playbooks and guidelines.
Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in any discipline is required; degrees in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related fields are preferred.
- Certification in payroll such as Certified Payroll Professional is advantageous.
- Certification in continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.
Experience
- Between 2 and 4 years of experience within payroll operations, with sound knowledge of payroll processes and ticket handling.
- Familiarity with payroll software and HRIS systems, with experience in Workday considered beneficial.
- Knowledge of payroll compliance and regulations within the country of operation is expected.
- Experience with platforms such as Dayforce and ServiceNow is desirable.
- Understanding of payroll reconciliation processes and remediation of discrepancies.

- Excellent written and oral English, to facilitate effective communication with HR teams, employees, and external vendors.
- High attention to detail and dedication to operational excellence in payroll execution.
- Strong organizational and multitasking capabilities to efficiently manage numerous requests in a dynamic environment.

- Competency in handling ticketing systems and managing queues for prompt ticket resolution.

Location
The position is based in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, at the Venus Stratum GCC office.
