Job Overview

The Parts Wholesale Manager will be responsible for promoting consistent growth in wholesale sales of automotive parts and accessories. This role entails expanding business dealings with major dealers, traders, sub-dealers, and other wholesale clients while meeting sales and profitability goals. Leadership of the wholesale team, market analysis, opportunity identification, and implementation of effective sales strategies are key aspects of this position.

Key Duties

  • Develop and implement clear sales plans aligned with business objectives for wholesale automotive spare parts and accessories.
  • Consistently meet or surpass sales targets, gross profits, and market share by monitoring market trends and uncovering new opportunities.
  • Grow the portfolio of wholesale customers by engaging and developing large dealers, traders, sub-dealers, and crucial B2B clients.
  • Set performance benchmarks and sales goals for the wholesale team, regularly reviewing outcomes and mentoring staff to enhance productivity.
  • Conduct detailed analyses of sales trends, product performance, market potential, competitor actions, customer demand, and expenditures to guide customer acquisition and sub-dealer appointments.
  • Oversee sub-dealer network performance, advising on commercial policies and operational procedures to foster effective and sustainable business growth.
  • Administer wholesale operations with a strong emphasis on profit and loss, pricing strategies, margins, discounts, incentives, customer profitability, and overall commercial results.
  • Utilize market research and customer feedback to design effective sales and retention plans for wholesale clients.
  • Collaborate closely with Marketing, Parts, Supply Chain, Finance, and other departments to enhance sales opportunities, ensure product availability, and promote customer engagement.
  • Lead staffing plans, training programs, performance evaluations, and team development initiatives, providing regular updates on sales, budgets, forecasts, and performance to the Parts Director.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum of 10 years’ relevant experience in an automotive dealership environment with significant exposure to automotive spare parts wholesale and B2B sales.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Sales & Marketing, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related fields.
  • In-depth knowledge of passenger vehicle automotive parts business, wholesale channels, dealer and trader networks, and automotive aftersales.
  • Demonstrated success in managing sales targets, revenue growth, profitability, profit and loss, budgets, pricing, and commercial performance.
  • Proven track record in developing large dealers, traders, sub-dealers, and key wholesale customers.
  • Strong analytical capabilities to interpret sales data, market trends, financial metrics, and customer performance to support strategic decisions.
  • Excellent leadership and management abilities including target setting, performance oversight, coaching, team development, and sales motivation.
  • Professional certifications in Sales, Marketing, or related domains preferred; proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems mandatory.
